Have you ever played Anywhere But Here? It’s a very simple game – the only rule is that you have to name a place you’d like to be right now, and it can’t actually be the place where you are when the game is played. I think I have the Cabin Fever; I’ve been staring out the window at the snow and playing it in my head all morning.
So, let’s have a game of Anywhere But Here. I’ll go first. I’d love to be in the little cottage we rented the last time we went to Maui. Sunshine, warmth, a view of the ocean, and air that is fragrant with the plumeria bushes on the property.
Your turn …
Snorkeling alongside a honu in Kahalu’u Bay on the Big Island of Hawaii!
Aloha!
Sitting around the fire at Camp Hermosa, chatting and eating sunflower seeds.
I want to be 19. Is that an option?
On the Equator. Oh wait… I will be in 2 weeks.
Lindsay, I have conferred with the judges, and we will allow time travel. I am curious, however, about what was so great about being 19?
About five blocks north. In the sunny study of the house I have been dreaming and dreaming of owning.
Anna, is that the house from before? Is it still for sale or did someone else steal it from you?
When I was 19 I was 9 years younger, 80 pounds thinner, slept in all I wanted, and had jello shots for breakfast, if I so felt the need.
Paris. Even though the weather would be miserable. There is no bad time to be in Paris.
