I don't know if you happen to have this song on your iPod, but I have quite enjoyed waking up to Fireflies by Owl City as of late. Not that I have the fancy iPod clock, but it happens to be on my radio alarm just when I am waking up on a good morning. It's the perfect combo of soft and kinda weird plunky background music and happy yet wistful and catchy/ silly lyrics.

As far as the snooze button goes, I too would feel judged by Sony. My solution to this problem is to set my clock 17 minutes fast, and then say to myself 'one more song . . . one more song' to myself repeatedly until I really can't stay in bed another minute.

Oooh, something from Glee might just do the trick. Better than the Indigo Girls, who I set it to this week and who are a bit too angsty for first thing in the morning.

YOu could go with 'Jump" from the Glee soundtrack or any number of other peppy songs from either Volume. Just knowing it is from "Glee" should give you a "Gleeful" start to your day(insert dripping sarcasm) Good luck. I would have an equally difficult time trying to choose something.

Circle of Life would probably work, but I dunno, dude, that Pop Goes the World is just a bit too aggressively cheerful for first thing in the morning.

The Circle of Life is good, if you put it loudly enough, but not so loud that you're jolted awake in terror. Or Pop Goes the World, but that may be just because I really like that song. Heh.
